1. What are office hours and how do I enroll my child?
   
 

Kasintorn Vittaya School opens everyday including weekends and holidays except some special holidays such as New Year, Songran (Thai New Year).
Monday - Friday office hour : 7:30 - 5pm.
Weekends/holidays: 8am - 4:30pm.
You can reach school during those hours at 02 807 1727-9.  Please call us for more details or make an appointment.

Enrollment is year round.
School accepts males / females from 2 to 12 years old. Under age appicants will be individually examined.

Documentation:
1. a copy of birth certificate
2. a copy of house registration
3. 4 one inch photographs
4. a copy of name change certificate (if any)
5. a one inch photograph of mother and another of father's or parent's
6. a copy of each parent's ID

 
2. What are some examples of school policies?
   
 

•  Limited number of students per class
•  Emphasis on learners.
•  Two to three classes per grade level, depending on the demand of the parents.
•  Teachers must have a Bachelor of Education with some experience or a Bachelor degree in related field and experience in teaching for years
•  Teachers must write lesson plans and prepare well for each lesson
•  Strict screening process for teachers

 
3. What type of normal school and grade levels are opened for enrollment?
   
 

Kasintorn Vittaya School is a type of normal school under the supervision of Ministry of Education (which uses Thai national cirriculum)  The school puts more emphasis on foreign languages than other normal schools.  The second language which is English and third language which is Mandarin are taught by native speakers along with Thai teachers, who are good at languages they are teaching. The school enrolls students from nursery from the age of 18 months old to primary level at normal age.  After graduation, students have been able to enroll to renowned secondary schools.  Moreover, students may enroll in Kasintorn Academy, a school branch, which locates in the same neighborhood.

 
4. Where does Kasintorn Vittaya hire the native English speaking teachers? Do they sign a contract with the school?
   
 

Kasintorn Vittaya uses many strategies to meet the increasing demands of native English speaking teachers. The school hires directly from many foreign English speaking countries. The school also contracts a few reputable agencies to hire teachers to work at the school. Teachers usually sign a minimum of one year contract.

 
5. What are the school policies regarding a teacher's absenteeism and lateness?
   
 

Kasintorn Vittaya incorporates many strategies to ensure that there is no interruption to student learning. When a teacher is absent or late, the school results one of our teachers (with a proven teaching record) to substitute.

 
6. What is the accent criteria of native English speaking teachers and Filipino teachers?
   
 

Kasintorn Vittaya has a strict screening process for teachers' accent before hiring a teacher
 

 
7. What are some examples of school extracurricular activities for students?
   
 

Kasintorn Vittaya has the following extracurricular activities:

 

- Sports: Students participate in both on-campus and off-campus sport activities and competitions (i.e., soccer, badminton, swimming). We also have aerobic exercise each Monday - Friday mornings.
- Religion and Ethics: Our students participate in Dharma Quiz and Prayer Contest. Recently, our students won the Runner-Up in the Prayer Contest (Primary Level).
- Music and Dance: Our students have performed at events on various occasions.
- Academic: Our students participated in academic competition as reported in news section
- Reading Programs: Kasintorn Vittaya provides various reading programs to encourage more reading.
 
8. Does the school condone spanking or smacking as a form of punishment?
   
 

No, the school does not.

 
9. How is lunch for students?
   
 

Kasintorn Vittaya prepares menus for the student lunch on a monthly basis. The school posts daily lunch menu both on campus at the canteen and on website for parents and students.

 
10. What kinds of textbooks do Kasintorn Vittaya use and what type of curriculum used?
   
 

Textbooks are ordered from many publications. Principal, teachers and staff choose the best of each publication. Some are from Bangkok Archdiocese, which the school partners with the catholic education council.  Teachers also develop materials and work sheets to deliver lessons effectively according to the National Curriculum from the Ministry of Education, Thailand. Most subjects are taught in Thai excepts English and Chinese, which are taught by native speakers from USA / UK / Australia etc. and China.
